Guys, I just can't believe it - Checked my email this evening and, "This case has been approved. On August 24, 2004, an approval notice was mailed..." was what I read - (part of me wants to believe this is a damn sick USCIS joke)

Here are my case details.....Good Luck to everyone still waiting - especially the more than deserving folks who have filed many months before I did.

140 Approved: March/April/May 2003 (can't recall)
1st FP: Feb 2003

2 AP's and 2 EAD's

Fax Inquiry: Aug 23, 2004 (yesterday)

485 Cleared: Aug 24, 2004 (coincidence?????)
 
what reasons did u use for ur enquiry?

Firstly congratulations to ur approval.

My case is quite similar to urs. I filed my I485 (not concurrent) in Dec. 2002. First FP was done in Feb 2003 and second FP was completed in July 29. So far, my online fingerprint receiving date has been changed a couple of times (08/05, 08/06, 08/07, 08/12) but I'm still hanging in here. I ever wanted to fax an enquiry for my status, but I'm not sure whether I'm eligible to do that (per USCIS rules, u should make an enquiry after 30 days past the current JIT). So, could you pls tell us what reasons did u use for ur enquiry? Some other guys here raised the concern about the enquriy, worrying that the enquiry might get something worse. Pls give us some details about ur enquiry in ur convenience. Thanks a lot.

Sure thing. As I understand it, you can begin faxing inquiries once JIT is 30 days passed your Notice or Receipt date. Since JIT is Jan 15, 2003 and my ND was Dec 5, 2002, I took the liberty of faxing in an inquiry. Who knows man...it could just be pure coincidence with these guys. My thought is that since your LUD has changed so often, you should be expecting either an approval or an RFE shortly. Fax away is my advice - 949-389-3055.

My RD/ND is Dec. 30/31. So I need to wait and see how the JIT will change in the following days. Anyway, thanks a lot for ur timely reply and enjoy ur freedom :p
 
Sure thing. If you aren't approved before the next JIT change, then definitely send in a fax inquiry. Good Luck with your case - you're definitely at the very tail end of the process.
