I got back to my office from my usual Wednesday morning meeting to discover two email messages from the USCIS that said that my I485 had been approved. The web site has also been updated.

RD: Feb 21, 2002
ND: March 2, 2002
3 EAD's
3 AP's
2 sets of fingerprints
LUD 7/6 (before that 6/3)

How can I thank you all for your support and empathy. You've all changed me, for the better, because you gave me the space and motivation to stop sitting and waiting and start fighting. To all of you who've not received your cards, and especially those who have WAC dates before my own, I commiserate, and wish the speediest of processing for you.

I'd like to take some time off... I'll give you an update when my stamping occurs which will likely be in San Francisco. Any advice on stamping there would be much appreciated. I have no idea how early to show up for example, and what to bring etc...

Congratulations Becky!!

Congratulations Becky! Glad to see your approval. Many thanks to you for the excellent letter formats you posted to the forum. Even as you get your approval and move on to different things in life, your legacy will remain as long as INS keeps dragging its ass on the approval process.

Good luck and god bless for all your future endevours. :)

Congratulations !!

You have contributed to this community a lot since your first post at Project Ocean in November 2003,
especially working with Congressional offices in San Francisco such as Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and Dianne Feinstein,
and also your beautiful letters that most of campaign participants would appreciate.

Good luck for your passport stamping, and enjoy your freedom,
-kashmir

Congratulations Becky!! When did you do your 2nd FP?. Was there any RFE?.

No RFE.

Second fingerprint was during the big round of printing done in January of this year. I did mine on about the 12th and the results showed up on 16th.

Stamping in SF FYI

My lawyer has just informed me that there's now an appointment system for the stamping at SF. It takes one to two weeks to schedule after the notice has been received (and my lawyer says he has to do it, which is fine with me) ... but it's a way of avoiding the long queues.

I'll let you know what that's all about as I go through the remainder of this process.

Congrats, Becky. Surprising that after 5/24 touch, the next one got you an approval. this kind of tosses the crappy theory of "atleast 5 touches" before approval.

Congratulations ....

Congratulations on your approval ..
Thanks for your excellent letter drafts ..
