It is worth doing the FP early. My (second) FP was not scheduled until mid Aug2004, but I had it done earlier (I was turned away at first when I turned up at SJ ASC at 8AM - but came back after lunch and had it done).

Thanks to everyone on this forum.
 
My second FP was received on the 7/9/2004, scheduled for 8/15/2004. But I had it done on the following business day 7/12/2004.
