Ever since I don't remember how long ago, my lawyer has been forwarding a status obtained by the AILA liaison every 2 weeks. It is literally the same line pasted over and over again:
"It was found to be among a pile of I485 applications waiting for 3rd party name check sent to BCIS..."
My wac number is I-485 is wac-01-251. I found another friend on this forum similar to my experience, probably also one of those I-485 applications in the pile they found.

Other details of mine as follows.
EB2 from China.
I-485 recept date is 6/1/2001
I-485 notice date is 8/7/2001
2nd FP done in May 2002
RFE replied in Oct 2002
Has been through all the fax inquiries and currently on AILA liaison inquiries every two weeks.
Called BCIS 1-800 line weeks before also and have not heard anything out of that inquiry yet.
Lawyer does not recommend any other measures than the inquiries, of which they consider the AILA the outmost effective inquiry system. But it has been finding the exact same status form months and could not do anything more. The "other measures" that my lawyer does not recommend include letter to local congress person.
Any friends on the forum in similar situation? Let's get together over here!
