My project may be over by 31st July . I wanted to know whether I can apply for W2 jobs. Do I have to work in the same geographical area? If my employer agrees not to revoke 140 when can I exercise AC21 safetly?

My project completed last month. I got EAD , I have't used yet.

I am confused whether I can use EAD to take contract jobs from other employers...
Will it be okay if I use EAD to switch (180 days passed from filing 485). I may have to switch employers multiple times, If I take contract jobs till get the GC since the contracts are generally 3 to 6 months only ???
Anyone in similar situation, please share your thoughts.
