VT I485 - can someone shed some light about the overall process

Visiting this site was the first time I have heard about the transfer to local offices. I would therefore like to ask the following, based on your knowledge and experience:
1. Do all I485 approvals require an intreview?
2. Do all application get transferred to local offices?
3. Do standard applications take longer for middle eastern individuals?

The reasons for the questions above are my processing dates:
I-140 approval notice - July 2004.
I-485 receipt approval - Novermber 2003.
Fingerprinted on October 2004.
I have not heard anything regarding an intreview, or such. Also - my lawyers sent an inquiry to the Vermont processing center, which did not do much good.

Any information regarding any of the general I485 processes would be appreciated.

Best case :), I sincerely wish that you get your GC approved direct....

If it gets Xferred :(, then you can visit various threads on this site, dedicated to specific local district offices on what next to do...

HTH,
V!
