VSC is not processing any I-485s right now. No I don\'t have any inside information. My only information comes from these boards. I think the only thing VSC is doing with respect to 485 processing is transfers to local centers. This is a dirty ploy to get the 485s off their desks and claim victory in decreasing backlogs.
Talked to an Immigration Officer and he said that they are processing cases with Receipt Date of June 1999 and they started on them in mid July 2000. How long the process of getting the Approval would take is still a question.
