VSC Update

Looks like thats why post Feb cases are also being approved!! This hiring new officers business is in news for sometime but no effect on I-485 :p May be they go into some other application stream. UCICS would like us to believe that the situation is improving  But people aren't that blind.

All the new 110 adjudication officers will work on I-485 cases and I-485 cases processing will be reduced to Just 1 or 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

The VSC stated that many of the older Form I-485 applications are requiring re-fingerprinting and thus it is putting those cases on hold while re-fingerprinting occurs. Therefore, later cases filed in March and April of 2002 may be adjudicated before the older cases because re-fingerprinting is not required in those later cases.

Means Those filed after APril 2002 are not required to go for 2FP
They can approve these people case soon.

Let us hope for it !!!!!

I bet, the processing time will go beyond 3 years

I think most of March, April, May 2002 cases has their FP expired already. So, VSC will skip those months too and start processing June, July August 2002 cases. Before finishing these months they will have to process all Jan, Feb 2002 cases after their 2nd FP. After a little while all June, July, August FP's will expire. So Hold-on all June, July and August 2002 cases and 2nd FP will be sent to them. Now they realize Jan, Feb, March, April, May 2002 cases are still pending after 2nd FP was done. Then they start again from Jan 2002, finally they finish Jan cases (Thank God! but it takes at least 3 months from now).
Now they find all the Sep, Oct and Nov 2002 cases are nearing the 2nd FP. So they skip Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June, July, Aug 2002 cases and start processing Sep, Oct, Nov 2002 cases. After few days they will schedule 2 FP for Sep/Oct/Nov cases and go back to Feb/Mar/April/May/Jun/Jul/Aug cases.

By this time I-485 processing time will increase from 22 months to 36 months, I mean 3 years!!

I bet, if this approval trend is prevailing for some more time, the processing time go beyond three years.
