For the cases transferred from VSC to TSC, what will happen to the case numbers starting with EAC. As you all very well know TSC cases begin with SRC. Just curious if anyone were able to find out on the status of our case receipt numbers per se?

coowboy, The Receipt # will still be EAC even if your case is transferred from VSC to TSC. Is this what you want to know?

Thanks for the response. Yes I understand from the perspective of an applicant the number is still EAC-xxx-xxx-xxx.

But what I'm interested in is, internally within USCIS, will the EAC be changed to a temporary SRC number? Has anyone seen this?

Why would they change the number and waste a perfectly good series of EAC numbers? There is no benefit to changing the prefix. Once generated, it's just a number, a lookup key, that's it. Whether it was generated in VSC or TSC is irrelevant - they all go into the same database.
