VSC processing time for EB2 and EB3

The reports have distinguished EB2 for NIW and otherwise for the past few updates. It says time for cases of "Advanced degree or Exceptional Ability" is Jan 6 2003. Are they referring to the LC based EB2 cases? How come there's such a difference between them and the LC based EB3 cases? I can't see how the EB2 cases are more complicated in any way. Anyone has any insight on this?

Yes, Jan 6,2003 is the date posted for LC based EB2 cases (NIW is still standing at Jun 26,2002)...beats me why EB2 cases are significantly slower than EB3. This topic has been discussed rigorously on these forums, and the conclusion is that approvals seem to be quite a random process, unfortunately.

Hopefully the class-action lawsuit will set things straight....Oh, well:eek:

But if it is really a random process, then there shouldn't be a clear cut between EB2 and EB3. Now that they make the LC based EB2 as a seperate category, it seems to me that they have a justification for the difference. We just don't what it is.
