VSC not processing 485 cases normally

I don't think VSC is processing 485 cases normally after Memorial day. They must got an order from headquarter to downgard the priority to lowest. The reason I said this is beacuse in May, VSC has processed 50% of Dec cases. But in June, the number is pathetic. July is even worse. They virtually just stopped Dec case processing, limiting to 10-20 cases per day.

They started Jan RD, but not in a promising speed either. Actually, Jan RD applicants may suffer even worse than Dec. Afterwards, only 30% Dec RD cases remained untouched. But Jan cases are mostly untouched, plus many FP expired.

VSC could be doing sth like this, finish 1/2 of a month RD, then go ahead to next month, leaving the other half sitting in darkness forever. To outside, they can claim the beautiful processing time advanced, to us, it's a nightmare. Because you never know if you will be the lucky half or not.

We must let outside world know the processing time is misleading, they are not advancing as usual. People are still waiting. Cases are still pending. And it's useless to contact the customer service.

I urge you to fill out the backlog petition and phone petition as soon as possible, maybe it's not your day yet, but it will be. And if we don't do anything to protect ourselves, nobody in this country will help us voluntarily.

I do not think you are correct. VSC is continuing to process Jan, Feb and some MArch cases. Dec RD cases may have missed the fingerprint deadline and hence there is slowdown. Lot of cases are getting transferred too. There is no need for them to show that dates are moving. Who is going to question them if dates do not move ?

You are partly incorrect BCIS is processing Jan and some feb cases, but so far not a single march cases has got approved expect the age out cases and balitmore transfers else everything for march is same. All the approval at rupent are the fake approval not an real one. Let hope and pray that these BCIS get back to their track on speedy approval. These wait is killing.

VSC is processing Jan cases but not at normal speed, which suppose to finish 70% Jan if normal by now. But we know
not many cases touched

VSC is slowed its speed.

Obviously VSC is slowed down a lot.We guys keep seeing lot of approval and Congrats messages in the form.I could not see more than 1 or 2 now a days.It is a concept of sampling As we can not see lot of approvals on this forum.I strongly suspect VSC 's Speed.I dont know what the Heck is going on in VSC.

DOWN DOWN VSC!!!....

There is no doubt that VSC has slowed down a lot in recent days. The only happenings now a days are Transfer to Local office. May be they found an excuse in that never ending Nicaraguan TPS (something like that) programme.

45% of Jan Cases are done and about 25% of JAn cases are also done. Transfers is going to be a constant theme going forward as they have moved some work from local offices to Minnesota. SO they know they have some spare capacity there. Other than appointment delay I do not think it is a issue.

I don't think whining here helps us to reduce backlog.
One of the main intent of AC21 is to reduce backlog at legacy INS but actually backlog increased further.

I think immigrants need very good lobbying effort for any immigration reform.

Suprised if anyone says VSC is processing normally! If they have a normal order in processing, how come they are now procesing Jan, Feb, even Mar., but so many Oct., Nov. and Dec. are not touched?! They often say your case is under security check, since it takes some time, you have to wait...Jan, Feb. cases don't go thru security check? Their check don't take time?

OK .... now I am confused:
1. Are you saying that 45%+25% of Jan cases are done? I don't think so!
2. "moved some work from local offices to Minnesota"? What is the basis of this statement?

I think BCIS is doing a junk job ! It is sad to see people keep saying "just be pateint and pray that they will do ...". It is always good to pray, that's right. But sometimes you have to stand up to speak out and fight for yourselves. I think dendeng's suggestion is good. I think people in that Dec 2001 category should join the petition or even write individual letters to BCIS, to congressman , to whoever, even there is 1% chance of hope, you have to fight for it. It seems people in this board tend to have too low-key personalities, not used to fighting for their rights. I don't know if it is ralated to the culture or what.

DengDeng and all those in this thread crying,
You are such a pathetic cry baby. First of all you should be greatfull that you are getting a GC. In this market IT professionals do not deserve a GC as there are many unemployed american IT professionals, and thus belying the Labor premise. STOP CRYING and grow up. Concentrate more on your job and less on VSC's job.. Your application should be put on hold for 7 months. Such a pathetic loser.

You are right, no use of whining. As you said fighting spirit might be related to culture.

Where/ How to start the lobbying effort? I understand that lobbying just for December 2001 ND will not have any impact. Lobbying effort should be for some common immigration reform to reduce various backlogs at BCIS.

BankeBihari2003, one can say many things about you but you are certainly not shining with intelligence.

You are about the only one here talking about IT employees. Do you have an inferiority complex?

BankeBihari2003 your posting does n't make any sense.

Hi BankeBihari2003

Only idiot as pathetic as you will think the same way as you think ---- "In this market IT professionals do not deserve a GC as there are many unemployed american IT professionals"

If you don't think you deserve, pack your ass and get out of here.
No wonder people like you will be taken advantage of by those Americans. It is a shame to have people like you, I believe if everyone acts like you, the slave system will still exist.

We are not whining, idiot, it is about fighting for rights. You quiet pathetic toy.

Why you guys still talk to him? Moderator is asking the administrator to remove him from this board.

Ignore him, and he'll be gone.

BankeBihari and Backlog reduction

First about BankeBihari : I think that it's time for the moderators to act against this nuisance guy(not only delete his id but also block his ip address). Initially i thought that he was just having fun here and obviuosly it's not the case. He is having a one point agenda and he is causing considerable distraction here. We are always losing focus because of this guy.
Till the moderators act, i suggest that none of us should post any replies to his posts. It's like how we ignore a mentally retarded
person talking some nonsense as we pass by on the road. I request people not to post a single response to his posts. But we should bring his case to moderators attention.

Now to backlog reduction : We all know that Rajiv Khanna has volunteered and sent petitions to BCIS for reducing backlogs at
different BCIS centres. Has anything come out of it ? What else can we do ? Definitely, we will find ways if we are determined. But are we ready to spend time and money for that ? How many of you responded to the posting last week by some one asking if you are interested to volunteer for immigration support network (www.isn.org) ? This is the group (ISN) which has successfully lobbied the congress in year2000 to enact AC21 which has brought tremendous benefits to us. Finally, under the Republican controlled congress and Senate, it's not going to be easy to get them pass a backlog reduction bill. So what can we do about this issue? I am clueless.
