VSC July\'99 RD/ND Approved....

Hi friends,

I have some good news to report....my I-485 finally got approved 8-)

b VSC/Boston/India/EB2/NIW(self)
*
b PD: 08/23/98
*
b RD: 07/01/99
*
b ND: 07/26/99
*
b EAC-99-226-xxxxx
*
b FP: 05/18/00
   (appvd. and sent to INS on the same day as per FBI)
*
b Approved: 08/28/00
    (automated message, of course, no approval letter yet)

No RFE, 1-EAD and 1-AP (never used). Never talked to IIO myself. Checked automated
message randomly once in a while. Message was always \'Your application was received
on..... it is taking between 90-180 days\' etc.... except today!!

Our human resources staff called the INS last week to check the status (my H1 was expiring
soon and they wanted to check whether they should apply for H1 extension or not...never
used EAD/AP so maintained the H1 status). IIO told them that my case was under review
since Aug 14th and should have the results in 2-3 weeks and bingo.....approved in two weeks!

Alrighty...did I forget anything? I will post the stamping experience once I have it !!
You are welcome to ask questions (please avoid the silly ones)...I will monitor this thread
for a few days....

ps: My sincere thanks to all the people who kept us posted on their case progress so
     we knew what to expect (at least approximately)... As I have done before, I would
     strongly urge the passive readers of this forum to remember to contribute when
     its their turn ....

Congrats. My details are identical to yours (except EB3). I called IIO on 8/21 and she said my case was still pending. But she said they were gonna take it up that week and I should hear something soon.

Your approval gives me hope.
