Hi,
My lawyer just informed me of the FP notice. Here is my detail:
RD: 1/5/00
ND: 1/21/00
FP Rcvd: 8/30/00
Schedule: 9/29/00 in Newark, NJ
Country: Others
It has been a long wait for the whole process. I started GC in Nov 96, suffered from the huge backlog
in VSC, heard nothing until May 99 when my lawyer suggested that I apply a new application
with RIR. The labor cert was approved in 15 business days, and then bang bang bang, I140 in 5
months, and then I485 submitted in Jan 00. The ironic thing was that, the Labor Department
sent a notice in May 2000 (yes 2000) informing that I can proceed with my advertisement for
the case in Nov 96 - after 3.5 years! Of course, I waived that application.
If I did not convert to RIR, I probably would not have started my I140 yet!
Good luck to everyone.
