For those who haven't seen my previous post, I will take the oversea assignment and come back for filing, fingerprint, interivew, oath.

How long does it take to get a fingerprint notice after I file the N-400? It seems some people can get the notice within a month. Does USCIS require you to take the FP on one specific day or any date before a deadline?

Any idea? Thanks.
 
Hi there,

In my case, they specified a specific date and time (today, at 10:00 a.m.). It seems as if the time between filing and FP varies a great deal. Some have had luck showing up a couple of days earlier than their actual appointment. Below is my timeline, for reference. I am in NoVa.
