Double edge sword

I don't know. Historically, employment based immigrants have been favored by incremental, minor provisions. CIR is a giant amnesty. That is what it is. I know there are lawyers and other people which could benefit and profit from CIR trying to portray the idea that would relief employment base greencard applicants. It is possible that it could benefit the skilled immigrants, buit it could hurt us as well. At minimum I would be writing about that possibility as well to show the world that yes, "I am employment base greencard and yes, I am usually left out when it comes to immigration, but I am not an ignorant".

I did my part too

Byond that point ..

marlon,

Your concerns are valid but what alternative do we have? The SKILL bill is just sitting there and lawymakers and the general public are really not concerned about legal immigration. Frankly, there just isn't a great need or urgency in this country to do something about working professionals. In this situation we have to ride on the coat tails of amensty. Is it the best solution? (NO). Will it cause problems in the future (VERY LIKELY). Is it the only viable short term solution considering the current climate (YES). We are stuck between a rock and a hard place, there really isn't any painless solution at this point.

Good job guys. I seen lot of comments in favor of skilled immigrants.
Please keep it up. Thanks for your time to post the comment.

We are very small community and multidimensional efforts are needed to create awareness among lawmakers, media and US citizens for contribution of skilled immigrants and problem faced by them. Lot of US citizens are visiting this site and you never know, message will go to media and lawmakers. It will take couple of minutes of individual to vote and post comment. I am sure it not gonna harm anything. Every drop is important! If you don't convince, please ignore this thread.

I know and probably every one visiting this thread know, immigrationvoice is doing great. Due to my own reason, I decided to work from outside the IV.

Even though something is better than nothing, I am doubtful if this effort will be helpful. How many senators or congressmen will go to this site and read our comments? How many reporters will come and read our comments there? I dont think it will work. If we really want to write, we should write to senators, congressmen and reporters directly. Posting hundreads of messages as comments is not a good strategy.

If we are spending our energy lets spend it on something that will be more powerful. I have been seeing the immigrationVoice http://immigrationvoice.org people for sometime and I think they are doing a good job. We all should try to join and help them in their efforts too.

I am continuously writing to lawmakers and media and I am sure many people are doing the same. Last year, my exclusive story was published with two newspapers. I am also trying this year.
my point was; we need multidimensional efforts.

Agreed. Whatever we all do and strategies we make will ultimately help everyone. Our personal differences should not matter in the larger interest. I just felt that we should write to lawmakers and media directly and also participate in any activity of immigrationvoice so that we can increase our chances of success.

Wow! What grace and sophistication in concealing your own agendas. KhodalMD got booted out of IV when he did not want to go with IV's single point agenda of I-485 filing. Now he is trying 'multidimensional efforts'.:p :p .

Pswami probably likes IV agenda at the moment, maybe in line with his own agenda....:p :p and he like to push for IV.

How is it possible to convince USCIS when a former and current IV person cannot agree on such small things? Why don't you 2 guys settle this out here before the rest of the forum starts supporting either one of you. It might save a lot of time for you two and for everybody else if you can sort this out here.

At the end of the day the winner is washingtonpost:p :p

Hope you are feeling better after venting out your frustration. But it does NOT change anything for you.

BTW - Did you finish your homework of finding 6 grammatical mistakes? Oh, you need more time. Okay, how about 1 more week.

It remains;when we write, instead of just following the potential danger of getting so excited about CIR, I would let everyone know that I am aware that yes, CIR is the only alive bill out there, however, it has not been designed to tackle our issues. Therefore it has potential to create once again a collateral effect that can send our processing times backwards. At this time though, back to the stone ages.

Is my feedback going to help? Unlikely. However, at least I plan to let less informed fellow members know that we are about to be left out again and we should at minimum be aware of such potential political trap.

Thanks,

Marlon
