www.change.gov and new administration can bring change for us:

It's called the Citizen's Briefing Book, and it's an online forum where you can RATE or offer comments on the ideas.

The TOP RATED issues will be looked at by the administration after the Inauguration. They will print them out and gather them into a binder like the ones the President receives every day from experts and advisers. Legal Immigration
One was to make headway in immigration reform is to begin with tackling the plight of legal migrants to the USA. For many who have gone to State Department embassies and those who have been through the immigration system, it is a vicious process that punishes those who want to pursue the legal path and ultimately provides incentives for people to be illegal.

I think it will be best to start by reforming the process of legal immigration in this country as a basis of building confidence in the difficult work of comprehensive reform that must be undertaken
