Hey folks we need volunteers in the TSC area to do the following
1) Contacting congressperson/senators and following up to get a reply.
2) Other activities that might come up in the future (ex: lawsuit, funds collection to get a lobbyist etc.).

Folks please sign up in the post ayansgp has already posted so that we know the names.

This would help your approval too.
Thanks

Where are the brave souls.

Come on guys. Folks from several states have started such efforts (Calif, MI, NJ, VA etc.) Example: Here is a link from the MI group

How come we can’t get enough participation from so many users who visit the TSC forum. I am not even talking up a state level effort. I refuse to believe that there are not many brave souls at TSC to volunteer some time (which is also for your benefit).
Please sign up.

Contact at Congresswoman's office

Hi tr22,
I just spoke with Mardi Chez, who is the immigration contact at Eddie Bernice Johnson's offce (irving,tx)...

I spoke to him and he said he would be able to forward a letter to TSC director..but cannot guarantee a response. Is there a format of a letter we can send to TSC director asking for his/her plans for reducing the 485 backlogs..

thanks

Reply burns

Thanks for your effort. Asking your congressperon to forward your letter to TSC Director has more impact because it will probably be read by her and if the congressperson requests a reply she is probably bound to reply. If you send it to Evelyn Upchurch (TSC Director) it probably will end up with a subordinate. That being said the more we write to her she is bound to hear from the subordinate etc. that such a problem is getting attention from a large number of folks. I and a few other folks have sent her the petition and no replies from TSC yet (probably never).

You can use the sample letter you can find in my signature and modify it. You should probably delete the section that points to the USCIS graphs and last paragraph could say.

I would appreciate your attention to this matter. If you can send out a formal news release as to what your plans are for the 485 reductions and let me know. I will pass the information to the other members at the immigrationportal.com.
