Visitors Visa for age less than 30 yrs

Hi,
I need some guidence, regarding getting visitors visa to USA, I want to visit USA for three months and i am not sure Consulate will be readily issuing me visa as I am single below 30 years of age and I am working as lecturer in Comp. in a post graduate college. My elder brother is presently working in USA on H1B, looking into my situation if I can get suggestion how should I be proceeding to get visitors visa so that my case becomes strong and less liable for rejection. Or It is not worth trying at all.

There is nothing wrong in trying but you should have a solid reason to visit US and even more solid reason to return to your home country.
