Folks I have a question

My in laws are here in the US on a visitors visa (10 years). Their I-94 is stamped for 6 months. They arrived here on Dec 3rd week.

They plan to visit Detroit and meet their family and then from there to Canada for a week and then return back to the US.

My question is what will happen to their I-94 stamp date. Will the officer give them the orginal date stamped or can he reduce it.......... Its an unknow area.

Please help

The original I-94 stays valid. Nobody takes it while crossing into Canada from Det by land. While coming back by land, the officer will check the visa and the I-94 and will let them in. No new I-94s will be issued as long as the current one is valid. Hope this helps.
