My parents have a visitor visa valid till November 8th,2003.
They are planning to come to USA from India in the month
of October.
My question is:
I heard valid date on visa is not the determining factor
for how long they can stay in USA but this is a date
considered only for landing here but immigration officer
at the port of entry will determine how long they can stay.
Is my understanding correct ?
Basically I am curious to know if an immigration officer can
put a date on I-94 which is beyond November 8th, 2003 ?
Any info on this is appreciated.
