Visitor Visa - Planning to bring my mother - questions

Appreciate if you could give some suggestions on this.

I am planning to bring my mother on visitor visa to US.
I have noticed the following issues with my passport and my mothers.

1) they have different spelling for my mother's name.
2) her passport has a different place of birth compare to what
I have provided as part of the 'Geographical information' G325A form
on my green card application.

Suggest me if this may cause a problem in applying visitor visa.
Also, do you know how long it takes to get the name,place of birth
corrected in her passport with Chennai Passport office? ( She is born in
1953 and doesnot have a birth certificate).

Get a TATCAL (is this correct ?) appointment in Chennai passport office; You should get the corrected passport within 2/3 days.

Were you and your mother born at the same place ? I hope I understand your question correctly. Though you were born on the same place, spelling is not the same, right ? leave as it is.

Or Get a NO ENTRY certificate from your mother's birthplace (that her DOB is not registered....) and apply for correction.
