Visitor Visa in Mumbai Consulate

Hi Guys,

Did anybody's parents had recently got a visitor visa from Mumbai Consulate ?. And if parents were less than 60 year old, what length visa did they get ?, was it 6 months or 10 years multiple entry.

Also, any special instructions taking into consideration the recent new changes at the consulates and other things. If anybody can let me know that would be really helpful.

I am planning to get my parents by the end of Aug here, and there is nobody to help them with the recent rules and other things and I am trying my best from here to find out things. I have sent all the documents according to immihelp.com and they have also mostly gathered all the reqd docs, but just wanted to know any special instructions and my since my parents are less than 60 yrs old, I wanted to find what length visa anybody is getting right now.

The immigration and visa rules are same at all consulates. You don't need to do or worry about anything that is not mentioned in immihelp.com. Don't worry too much about age < 60. I have recently sent papers for my in-laws (age between 50 and 60). They got 10 year multiple entry visitor's visa.

Make sure that your parents have the necessary doumentation to prove that they have a very good compelling reason to come back to India. For that any property documents, bank statements or a job letter should be okay.
