Hi all,
I m on L1B visa and my wife is on L2. We came in April 05 . I am trying to call my parents for a 2-3 month visit on tourist visa. the problem is that i am getting my salary in india with acco, car and per-diem here.no salary/tax in the US.
1) is there any chance that my parents could get a visa. they can show property in their name in india. will my pay-stubs for the indian salary be of any help
2) is it better to try through a sponser (distant relative ) ( us citizen ) i will be in india when my parents have an appointment at the consulate so they may say they have a son/daughter-in-law in india ( family ties) and no immediate family in US.
3) anything else that can improve chances of visa.

thanks in advance

Hi

You can sponsor your parents for a visit provided you execute an affidavit of support and get a letter from employer confirming job in the US. If you work for a big name in the US, your parents visa should not be a problem. You can tell the consulate that you will sponsor internal stay and travel and parents will take care of round trip tickets.

Not legal advice!
