Visitor Visa for my sister

Hi all,
I am writing this post with a lot of hope in my heart!
I am a GC holder and have an well educated, unmarried sister (who is older than 25 years) back in India.

She had tried for a visitor visa in 1999 and was rejected.(guessing that was because she is female, unmarried)

I would love for her to visit me....and I have read the postings on this site.
I only want her to come to US for a vacation and enjoy the country. She intends to return home.

I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to approach this ?

Thanks in advance,
gcwatcher

A well educated, unmarried and young individual will find it VERY DIFFICULT to get a visitors visa to US. If you have documentation to convincingly prove that she has strong and compelling reasons to return to India, it is worth a second try.

If you have a marriage invitation printed (even if it is a fake invitation) then it would be a great reason to return back to India. This way you can make a case that she is visiting you just for vacation and will definitely return back for her own marriage. :)
