My mohter's visa application was rejected previously. In the interview they didnt even look at the papers and letters showing ties to India. The interviewer just asked when did my father pass away. (4 years back at that time).

I wonder applying again for my Mom along with my sister's family would help my case.

I want to know whether this will improve my mom's chances of getting the visa under the assurance that she lives with my sister and will return to India after visiting me in US.

Has anyone applied and received visitor visas for a group of family members? Please share your experience.

Thanks

Mom's visa refused for 5th time!

Hello !My mom's situation is similar to yours. My mother has been trying to obtain a U.S. visa for a long time now. It's the 5th time her visa got refused at the New Delhi Embassy.she's going to visit her sister there. My mom is a widow. The first time we tried was in 2000.so then the counsellor asked when my father died..it was just in 1999.Well she's provided all the required documents and there were no faults in her application either.whatever the counsellor asked for,my mom provided him with the required documents. He would hardly look at them.....and refuse her visa stating "she doesn't qualify for a US visa under US law under section 214(b)" well i don't understand what more ties or proofs do we need to show...when we'got all the documents already..the property papers..the incometax papers..the bank statemnts which very well project her sound financial status and business....invitation letter from her sister. Can someone suggest what more should we do to satisfy the embasy counslate??? plz...it's really getting frustrating!

Were you able to succeed at last? I am planning to give one more try.
Appreciate if you could share your experience.

Hi

I think this situation beggars belief and has to change

My son was denied a B visa at the American consulate in London to come and help find a final resting place for his fathers remains and me (his mom) sort financial affairs

There has to be a new special compassionate visa for those who cannot satisfy the strong ties to their home country, we are trying to get change but need to ban together, at www.expatsvoice.org

We can put up or shut up or try to make changes, and it is about time there was some compassion with these immigration officers who think they are god
