Visitor Visa for A Friend

Guys,

Pl. forgive me for posting this in the incorrect forum.

Are the documents, which we send to our parents and siblings (e.g. Affidavit of Support, Letter from the employer, 2 paystubs etc) required when we are inviting our friends to the US?

Has anybody invited his or her friends (non family member) to the US?
If yes then what documents were send to them?

Pl. kindly let me know, or kindly redirect me to the correct forum.

The documents might be very similar to sponsoring parents/spouse. The chances of your friend getting the visa mostly depends on your friend's credentials.
