My mother has received a 10 year multi-entry visa. She visited the US last year and we extended her stay to 11 months from the original 6 months. This was approved. She has now returned.
I was told that once we extend the stay, the original 10 year visa is no longer valid. And if she has to come to US again she has to once again go through the process of getting a visa from the US Consulate in home country.
Does any one know what the situation is?
