Consulate(Mumbai) rejected three time (2time Personal , one time by mail) visitor visa for my mother. I want to apply this year (2004) again. My wife is pregnant she has some problem during pregnant time. Even we explained doctor that we need to bring someone from India to take care my wife and son (5 year). Doctor gave us one letter saying that she has problem during pregnant.

Consulate will consider that letter? it is good to show the reason that my wife is pregnant and we need somebody to give moral support ?

Please help me out.

Thanks

Ashvin,

U definitely should NOT show that letter while applying for the visit visa. It has been clarified numerous times that they consider such visits as illegal employment, believing that ur mother would be paid by you to take care of ur wife during pregnancy (yes, the thought sucks but that's the way it is). So her visa would definitely be rejected if she quotes that reason.

Instead, her reason of visit should be pure tourism - u can include the names of places she wants to visit, and possibly some hotel reservations etc to prove the same (can always cancel them later). Also, some members have had luck using local congressmen/senators letters stating that u are a legal, law abiding and respectable member of the community and ur mother should be allowed to visit here for tourism purpose. U can try that route.

In addition, checkout my other post detailing the preparing: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=101882

goodluck!
