Visitor Visa for Pleasure Rejected in Chennai

Hello,

Visitor Visa for Pleasure for my mother-in-law is rejected in Chennai consulate. My wife is the only daughter. My father-in-law has passed away.

They rejected saying now they have a policy of rejecting visas for single daughter cases.

We showed in the affidavit that she has to take care of my MILs mom and dad who are old and alive. We also showed property, Fixed Deposit and bank statements worth around Rs. 75 Lakhs. Also mentioned she will receive pension from the government.

Anyone has a similar case and how can we proceed in this case.

Any input is appreciated.

I am planning to apply for my mother's visitor's visa

Is your wife working here on H1 or is she your dependent?

Is the rule the same for primary Visa holders as well?
