Visiting USA via Qatar (any potential for problems)?

Folks,

My dad is planning to visit the US next month. On his way to the US, he will first stop at the country of Qatar (near Saudi Arabia) for a week, and then fly to US. I am wondering if anyone with an Indian passport has come into the US from Qatar (or nearby countries) and how their experience has been. Any input with a direct or indirect bearing on this is appreciated. Thanks.

He may have to thro more scrutiny especially after the London Blasts. Ask him to be mentally prepared with all documents and answers.

Thanks Raji_k. We are gearing up for that. Qatar is also on the list of countries whose citizens are finger-printed upon entry to US. So, extra scrutiny is likely....
