Visiting the US with a pending I-129F

Can anyone help?

My [US Citizen] fiancé and I sent our petition for a K1 visa about a month ago to the Nebraska Service Centre, and we were sent the notice of reciept, telling us that we would know in approx. 150-180 days (taking it to about February). We would really like to be together for Christmas, so is it possible for me to enter the US with forms being processed? I am from the UK, so if it is possible, would I still be able to use the Visa Waiver Program, or would I need a different non-immigrant visa? I've read somewhere that it is possible, so long as you can prove that you intend to return to your home country within the time limit. Can anyone confirm this for me, and maybe advise as to what sort of thing will be considered as proof (other than return plane tickets)?

Any help at all would be great :)
 
Travel on K1

I am currently going thru the K3 process, however, I've read many threads in your type situation. Anything that would prove you were intending to return to UK, such as an apt lease, a letter from employer, this type of thing. Check also www.britishexpats.com , there is lots of information there. You shouldnt have a problem.
