I am in a very typical situation and am not able to find any specific and authentic information about the same.
I currently live in Washington state in USA.
I came to the USA on F1 visa which is valid till July 2010.
Although I have my H1-B approved in October of 2008, I haven't gone out of the US to stamp it. Now, I have plans to Visit Canada on a tourist visa but not get my stamping done there. Rather , I prefer to do it in India (for the little risk involved in case of rejection).
Now , what I am trying to find out is - is it possible or legally allowed to visit canada on a tourist visa and come back to USA without the H1-B stamping.
Please advise. Any resourceful URL with relevant and authentic information would be really useful.
