Hi everyone,
Don't beat me up here. I am visiting after a long time.
Just a quick question about N-400 processing. Please guide me to a link if I missed it about N-400. I got my fingerprint done 30th April 2009 (Alexandria, VA), just a week ago. Whats the waiting period for interview call and process after interview. Do we take oath the same day or we have to go back again.?? And also whats the procedure kids have to follow.......during and after interview.
I sent my application to Louisville, TX.
Thank for your help!

As a fellow NoVA resident who will be processed at the Fairfax, VA DO, you may find this link helpful.

The gap between our fingerprinting appointment and the receipt of the interview letter was a little less than three weeks.

If your kids are not American by birth and they are under age 18, they automatically get US citizenship when you naturalize. Then you can file N-600s for their naturalization certificates, and I believe you can also apply for their passports on the evidence of your naturalization certificates. Please make sure you ask the IO for the specific details about how to process things for your kids when you interview, I am sure they will have the best information. I don't think you have to do anything specifically related to the kids at your interview or at your oath ceremony. At our oath ceremony, they made a point of telling us that our non-citizen children under the age of 18 automatically became citizens the moment we completed the oath. Our kids were born here, so it wasn't an issue for us.
