Visit to COP & a Smooth Re-entry

Hi, Everyone,

I visited my COP for about 9 weeks and had a very smooth reentry. Here is what happend at POE:

Me: presented my green card and Reentry Permit

Officer: How long have you been out of the country, sir?

Me: About 9 weeks.

Officer: Were you there for an official business or something?

Me: No, my mom was sick and visited her.

Officer: Says nothing and stamps my reentry permit.

Me:Thanks.

The whole thing took less than one minute!

Rentry has never been an issue since their only job is to verify your documents are correct and you are admissible..i.e, you have not violated any immigration law.

Its the U.S Citizenship interview that can cause some problems for visiting COP.
