Visit to Canada for GC Holders

Does any one know what is required for a GC holder to visit Canada? I hold a GC and I am planning to visit Canada for a week. Do I need to apply for Canada visa or just go to the border and will be let in? Do I need to carry anything else other than GC, e.g. passport or any other ID, or pay stub etc..

Thanks for any tips.

You just need your passport and green card.

Work permit is exactly what it says, and no more. It is a permit to work in the United States, not a permit to seek entry into another country (or permit to return to US). If you do not have a green card and are not from a visa waiver country, you will need a Canadian visa for visits to Canada.
