Me and my wife received our Green Cards in June 2007. And, had to move back to Europe temporarily last year due to personal (family health) issues. Before we left, we applied for re-entry permits and received our 2-year re-entry permits in August 2008, and moved back end of August 2008 after receiving the permits. We have been out of US since then, and visited the United States for 5 days in February 2009.
My question is simply this: do we need to travel to United States every 6 months within the 2 years that our re-entry permit is valid? Or is it OK to not visit US at all till August 2010, and move back to US by August 2010? Basically, if we do not visit every 6 months, would that put our green card in jeopardy?
Also, is there any immigration document explaining this situation?
Thanks a lot.
