Visa Waiver / Getting Green Card

Hi,

I am currently married and have no children.
My parents are wanting to sponsor/file petition for myself and my wife.
I hold NZ passport and hence travel frequently to US
under visa waiver program. My wife does not hold NZ passport and hence needs to apply for visa if she travels with me.

The question is, if my parents lodge the petition, will this hinder/stop me from
entering US for visits and will my wife get visa declined everytime she wants to travel for visits??. Also my parents are permanent residents
so i would imagine they will have to wait until they get citizenship? Is this correct?

Thanks for your help

Let me attempt to answer your questions:

It willl save you both money to wait until your parents get their USC.

As for your, after they petition for you two, you will need advance parole to travel in and out of US. The same goes for your wife. But whether she can renew or re-apply for her new visa when her current one expire is unknown.

I think you can go for some free lawyer consultation to see what they can tell you. Good luck.

Anyone can help, gurus?
