Visa Validity

My mom has 10 years visa and on her last visit to US, She stayed here for 6 months and we had applied for her extension and that was denied. She returned immediately.

Know we would like to bring her back for another 6 months. Will there be any problems at the port of entry? Will she be able to get 6 months stay in US.

Anybody been in this suituation or if anyone knows what is the procedure..please respond.

Thanks!
AJ

Since your mom returned within the stipulated time even after her denial of extension of stay, she should not have any problems entering the United States. However, she may not get 6-month stay again because the immigration inspectors are very stringent in granting 6-month stay, which is the full validity. She can request for the said period but it is up to the inspector at the port of entry to grant it.

how would I know if her VISA is valid. Is there a way I could check this. Just that I don't want her to come here and get held up at POE saying that her VISA is expired because she did not leave on time on her last visit. She left within 15-20 days time after she received her denial.

Thanks!
