If B Visa is valid, lets say till 15th September and the person is entering US on 10th September. Will he get to stay only till 15th September or it depends on the Immigration Officer at the entry port can extend his visa for 6 months or any time mentioned on I-94 at the time of arrival. ? Please let me know.

Thanks in Advance.

I have received a B1/2 visa at the embassy, and was instructed on a separate paper that the visa validity means the period I am supposed to enter the US, and has nothing in common with period I will be allowed to stay within the US, which will be decided upon by the immigration officer that will interview me at the entry point. I believe this applies to all those obtaining entry visas, no matter the country of origin.

US visa must be valid at the time of entry, but has no bearing on the time you be given by the CBP officer. For example, if your visa expires on 9/15/2005 and you enter the USA on 9/15/2005 you should get a 6 month stay on a B2 visa.
