Visa status

Guys,

I was on students visa my OPT expired july 15th. I have my I797 notice of approval, it has the I94 with the approval. In this case I dont have to go out of the country immediately to get my visa stamped right? I am new to these issues and just checking

You did not say what the approval was for. My guess is H1 and in that case you do not need to go out of the country since you got a new I-94 with the approval.
If you need to travel outside US, you will need a new h1 visa in your passport. You will have to apply for it in a US consulate overseas.
