My H1 B from my current employer has not been stamped on the passport at all . The H1 B from ex employer has expired on the passport as of march 2002.I do have all the H1 Visa paper work from my current employer.I have an CP int scheduled for Aug 20.

Since I dont have the stamp of the petioning employer (Current employer) for my green card in the passport , will this cause any issues?

I dont have time to get the passport stamped either.
I DId get my transit visa for travel.

Thanks in advance.

You should not have any problems. As long as you have the H1 approval notice you should be fine. I am in the same situation in that the visa stamp in my passport expired in Jan 2002.

I was in the same situation. You need to have your current H1 approval notice (if you are married, then your wife also needs to have a valid visa or approval notice). It will be asked for during the interview (they returned to me along with the passports). You don't have to have the visa stampped on the passport.

Per XML, It looks we need valid visa or approval notice for spouses. I am expecting sep/oct interview and my visa (including my wife visa) will expire next month. But my L1 is valid till next year mid. My wife do not have any approval notice as she is on L2 (L1 dependent). I don't think I have enough time get our visas stamped here. Can any one suggest me what I need to do now??

Looking for a new job? Actually I am in a state of Nirvana...I know that there could be layoffs any time now (I could be one of them), even then, I don't even have my resume ready! For some reason, all this (including my newly acquired green card) doesn't matter anymore...May be I am still in the same holidaying mood...
