My wife got H4 revalidated at Delhi consulate and during interview they took documents from her folder which had even our H1B/H4 original 797 approval notices. I didnt go for stamping as I stayed in US and my previous stamping expired an year ago. Whether they will return those approvals with passport? if not, What to do now? I'm trying to reach Delhi VFS but no luck.

Thanks for the help in advance.

The same happened with me in Montreal. They took my original I-797 and returned it with the passport. This is just to make sure all the information(EAC/WAC#, Company Name, Visa Expiry Date, Employer Name etc.) on the visa stamp matches that on the Approval notice.

No worry. You should get it with the passport.
If you dont get it, then your wife needs to remind them to give it back...

Hope this helps !

Question on Supporting Documents

As per New Delhi embassy link http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/nivhlovisas.html, the supporting documents include

Original Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker
Original Labor Condition Application (LCA). Applicable to H-1 applicants only

But i doubt if we can get "Original" I-129 or LCA. I did get copies from my company. Is that a problem or shall I ask for Originals?

Please help.

The only original document is the I-797 Approval notice. Rest all of them (LCA, I-129) are photo-copies...

Do not unnecessarily worry about things which dont matter...

Hope this helps!

Another question. Is it mandatory to have DS-156 be printed back to back?
