Do not go to Bahamas for Visa stamping. I have seen rejections with guys having all genuine documents. In fact they will snatch your H1B and ask to leave to Home country.You have to find a way to go back to India.Visa Officer will not even care for your safety.
They will just say one thing." You should have planned before coming here".
Below are sample 3 cases and questions they have asked them.
(1) 6 month Pregnant woman for genuine valid H4 extension.
Question: why didn't you go with husband for extension.
Answer: doctors said not to travel as I was pregnant.
Showed the letter and have to convinced the VO
Question: Are you carrying(even after seeing her belly).
Answer: Yes.
(2) Rejected Valid Visa revalidation even after working in IBM for 3 years.
VO has verified each and every pay stub, tallied with W2. One of W2 has 1 week pay difference in one pay slip due to genuine reason and she threatened to terminate H1B.
VO was adament and took all documents and asked him to leave the country.
Poor guy has his labor cleared.His wife and kids all have to end up leave the country. He is calling the attorney and hopefully attorney will straighten things.
(3) Rejected 2 H4 to H1 Visas if you have done education in India:
Two woman have to go to India by themselves, leaving their husbands.
Question: Is your Indian company? Does your team has Indians?Spell your client Name?
Then VO will reject even without looking at any proof or asking for evidence.
May be it differs from VO to vO
YOU CANNOT TAKE CHANCES FOR H4 TO H1 VISAS IN BAHAMS.YOU WILL SUFFER A LOT GETTING TRANSIT VISA AND TICKETS TO INDIA.
Their are lot many genuine cases whose visas got denied.
It is all gamble, you get sometimes H4 to H1 evevn if you have studied in India.
