I am currently in a dilemma and will greatly appreciate your suggestion:
Currently I am on H1 and due to a family emergency I need go to my home country as soon as possible. I am wondering if I should go to Canada for visa stamping or Bangladesh (my home country).
Following are some facts about me:
1. If I go to Canada for the interview, I will have to go to my home country first then re-enter through Canada and face the visa interview. I could not get any interview in next couple of weeks.
2. Have an US master’s degree and working in the same field.
3. Currently on H1 and was never out of status or out of work.
4. Muslim and have a muslim sounding last name (Ahmed). And also from a muslim country.
5. Landed immigrant to Canada.
6. This will be my first visa stamping.
I will welcome your comments on Back Ground Check also. Is the possibility of back ground checking same in whatever consulate someone goes? I am concern because of all the incidents where background checking takes months to complete.
Thanks
