hi guys,
I sent my passport for visa revalidation on 9th October 2003. Today 16 Jan 2004 I received it "canceled without prejudice".
Reason they give is
1) You did not enclose the original or a certified copy of your I-94 from your most recent entry into the US
I did send my old I-94 (one we get when we enter US) and I think they misplaced it.

I talked to my HR manager and she told me to send it back with the new I-94 which they stapled to my passport (one which comes with your new H1 petition). She also said that if I send it immediately they will send it back within 10-15 days.
I just want to check with you guys if anyone had same experience and what to do in this case?
Because if they say that I do not have my old I-94 (I don’t have it anymore as they misplaced it) what should I send?

I am really confused...should i send it again or not
Any comments are welcomed

Thank You!

soccerfan,
what did the letter say ? did they say you can re-apply with the I-94 or did they ask you to apply in person at a US consulate or embassy ? ILost -94 can be replaced by service center by filing form I-102 but it takes almost an year for texas SC to process it .. where are you located and what service center is local to you ???

Dont you have xerox copies of Old I-94.. Check in your file somewhere they might be there ..Did't you took any xerox of your passport before .. Then in that case you might be having the Old I-94 xerox .. put that xerox copy again along with the new I-94 and sent it again .. For sure you will get your visa ..

I think the only option is to send a copy of I-94 with a letter explaining what might have had happened with your original I-94 card.

Can't they verify the photocopy of I-94 in their system?

how long it takes?

anyone know how long it takes once i submit with all the needed documents?

thank you
