My six year H1B is about to expire by March end. I have already applied for 7th year H1B extension based on my I-485 filing. I badly need to maintain my H1 status and need to get the visa stamped as well for specific personal reasons ( marriage / spouse visa and like) . I would like to avoid going to Chennai consulate( India) due to excruciating delays and short of vacation.
I have been in US since mid '98 on valid H1 status w/o any break in employment. I have had all of my education in India and my work experience spans 1.5 years in India and last 5.5 years in US.
Can I get my visa revalidated at Ottawa/Toronto w/o any hassles.? Do U foresee any problems in this respect ?
Anyone with non US/Canadian education who has gone thru the same, please share ur experience..
