Visa renewal

Hi,all. I'm a Russian citizen. I'm currently a graduate student in the USA getting my MBA in finance. I came to the USA by a single entry F-1 visa which expired in December 2005 (visa was issued for 6 months). I'm currently staying in the USA on my I-20 which is valid till January, 2008. My father has been paying for my education here, I am an A student at my school. The matter is that my father asked me to fly to Europe for a couple days, I have classes twice a week, so I can do it without interfering with my studies . However, I need to renew my visa. Also, I got married in August 2006, my husband is a F-1 PhD student in the USA, his I-20 expires in 2010, he has Canadian and Russian citizenships. I am already more then 50% done with my studies, so I don't know where it is better to renew my visa - in Mexico or in Canada, does it realy help that my husbant has Canadian citezenship? Is family business (investment deal) a good excuse for renewing a visa in a foreign country?

Thank all of you, I will appreciate any information, my email is ercox@yandex.ru

Hi,
Since both of you are on F-1 visa, showing intent to go back to your country will be a key determinant in stamping your passports in Canada. since your spouse is a Canadian citizen and has financial interests in Canada it may help your cause to apply for F-1 visa stamps from Canada. hope this is helpful.
