Visa Relvalidation.........

Hi,
I came in April 1999 with H4 stamping.My H4 stamping expired in Dec 1999. Before Expiry date i got H1B1 and started working. As of now i dont have H1 stamping in my PP. Can sent to papers visa revalidation to St.Louis. pl share the experiences and advice.

Since You came on H4 visa you can not send papers to St Louis for revalidation, as its change of visa/status and is not a revalidation. You need to travel outside US for H1B1 Stamping

thanks for the reply , is it necessary to Go to India or any other country outside US. What kind of risk involved behind this under current circumstances.
 
You need to travel outside USA when you are changing status from H4 to H1B1 visa. It can be Canada, Mexico or India. It depends on case to case for risk involved. If in your case every thing is on order than you should be fine.
