Visa refused ... does that effect my record anyway

Just enquiring out of curosity....If i send sponsorship to someone and he/she is refused......and say after 4 months i send sponsorship to my parents (who already had visited US once) but need another visa to come again.....would my sponsorship have some negative effect on the case.
