My I-140 denied due to Employer ability to pay that I filed
through different employer. My current employer is started processing my labor application. My question you is according to new rule after
labor and I-140 approved applicant should wait unitill he get VISA number
(?) (i'm not sure) to applyb for I-485. Is this VISA nyumber is same as A number?. What happens to that A number I had in the previous application. Will I get the same number again?
Thank you

visa number is not same as A number. Visa number is issued by Dept Of state just before 485 approval and only a limited number are available each year. A number is simply a CIS issued number to tie all of your cases together. You cannot file 485 if the PD for your category (eb2/3 etc.) is before your PD. Doesn't matter if you had a A number earlier.
